Tampa Bay Food Fight 2019

The Tampa Bay Food Fight (also known as Battle of the Bay), is a yearly event organized by Metropolitan Ministries, that is raising funds for its Culinary Arts Program. The program prepares at-risk students in the skill of culinary arts at no cost to them.

During the event teams of chefs from both sides of the Bay will compete for the Tampa Bay Food Fight Best of the Bay crown, judged by top chefs.

As restaurants from Tampa and St. Pete competed in the ring, guests had the opportunity to vote for the Best City, Best Restaurant, Best Cocktail, Best Craft Beer, and Best Food by Type.

The St Pete Team lead by "The Library" Chef Rachel Bennett managed to defend the title and took home the golden meat axe trophy in the 2nd consecutive year.

The event, hosted by WWE superstar Titus O'Neil and Master Chef Finalist Jeff Philbin, took place at the St Petersburg Coliseum and was fully sold out.

FOODSTIKS supported the event by donating 24,000 pieces of disposable wood cutlery that would have otherwise been from plastic.
